England fans were delighted with the performance of the Three Lionesses in the Arnold Clark Cup and the result they achieved. Sarina Wiegman’s team comprehensively picked apart South Korea, winning by a score of 4-0 – ultimately, it flattered the South Koreans, such was the degree of England’s dominance.
Fans took to Twitter to praise the team and the individual standout performances within it. Plaudits were given out to the likes of Lauren James, Leah Williamson and Chloe Kelly, amongst others.
Did anyone notice that Mearps barely touched the ball all night ? This means the defenders were doing the job perfectly . Perfect Lionesses !

Dominant performance. Puzzled why Earps didn’t get player of the match as she did everything perfectly ππ. More seriously…what a performance by Lauren James! Unplayable on that form ππππ

I am entirely sure that they are astonishingly capable of winning the World Cup. Yesterdayβs match was more than amazing, James was the hero. However, the pitchβs grass were awful.

First time Iβve seen the Lionesses live & I was mightily impressed, they were a joy to watch. Iβd rather watch them than the mens team.

Fans were unanimous in their praise for the Three Lionesses. Georgia Stanway, Chloe Kelly and Lauren James were all singled out for their impressive performances, as was the back line as a whole for remaining strong throughout the game.
The only criticism that England fans had was nothing to do with the team – it was to do with the pitch! It was boggy and uneven, which hindered both teams as they tried to move the ball around. It was a much greater obstacle for England, however, with their much greater emphasis on shorter passing and retaining possession.
Ultimately, England fans were delighted with how the team performed – as evidenced by their social media reaction.
