Injured WSL Superstar Posts Encouraging Rehabilitation Progress On Instagram

WSL and Arsenal superstar Vivianne Miedema is currently out with an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury – an injury that will keep her out of contention for the 2023 World Cup.

However, she seems to be making good progress with it, as shown with a post she uploaded to Instagram. Miedema suffered her ACL injury back in December and has been off the field ever since.

She, along with her partner Beth Mead, are both out with the same injury (they even sustained it at similar times). It’s been heartwarming to see the pair helping and supporting each other through their respective injuries – both players are hoping to be fit and ready for the start of the 2023/24 WSL season.

Currently, Miedema’s post has just under 37,000 likes on Instagram. It has been liked by fellow footballers such as Kerstin Casparij, Jorja Fox and Leah Williamson.

Her partener, Beth Mead, teased her in the comments, writing: “Hair on point.”

Currently, it is unclear when Miedema will be fit to play again. She has ruled herself out of contention for the 2023 World Cup, which will take place from July to late August. The 2023/24 WSL season will begin in September – therefore, even if she does not make the World Cup, she could be ready to start the season with Arsenal.
