Lucy Bronze Hails Chelsea “Superstar” Who Lit Up England’s Win Over South Korea

England defender Lucy Bronze was full of praise for teammate Lauren James after she bagged her first goal for the Lionesses during the 4-0 win over South Korea on Thursday evening.

The Chelsea forward scored the fourth to seal a comprehensive victory in the Arnold Clark Cup but her overall performance was also outstanding, leading Bronze to say:

“Everyone knows the quality that LJ’s got. Technically she’s probably one of the best there is. It’s crazy that she’s so young because this is the player that everyone has been talking about for five years now.”

“Everyone has been waiting for this superstar and it’s exciting to be here now. I’m sure she’ll score plenty more goals, win plenty more player of the match [awards] and win more games for England in the future.”

James has had an excellent season so far, bagging seven goals in 16 appearances for the Blues, but she will be very proud to get off the mark for her country.

At 21 years of age, she is beginning to realise her potential, and there is no doubt that the Chelsea star will be a regular fixture in England’s starting eleven for many years to come.

As we all know, James is the younger sibling of Reece who plays for the Blues’ men’s team but she is on course to match and perhaps even outshine her brother on the world stage.
