First up are Gareth Taylor’s Manchester City – the Sky Blues have conceded 21 goals in 20 WSL games over the course of the current season.
Taylor isn’t known for his defensive solidarity as a head coach. During his playing career, he featured predominantly as a forward – he prefers his teams to adopt a cavalier mindset, rather than sitting back and defending.
As such, this should be a testament to how good some of City’s defenders are. The likes of Alanna Kennedy, Alex Greenwood and Kerstin Casparij have all been sensational this season.
