United And Chelsea Coaches Among Four Shortlisted For Manager Of The Season Award

Manchester United manager Marc Skinner is among the nominees for the Barclays Women’s Super League Manager Of The Season.

The Red Devils have had an outstanding campaign, with the Manchester side just two points off the top with two fixtures remaining, so recognition for Skinner and his team’s achievements is fully merited.

Unsurprisingly, Chelsea boss Emma Hayes is also in contention, after another phenomenal year which sees the Blues on the verge of their fourth consecutive title.

Hayes has also been the recipient of the Manager of the Season accolade for the last three years and the 46-year-old is the favourite for the award once again.

Arsenal’s Jonas Eidevall and Aston Villa’s Carla Ward are the other names to make up the four person strong shortlist.

Eidevall’s Gunners have performed extremely well in trying circumstances, with four key players having sustained ACL injuries, while Ward deserves massive credit for Villa’s rise to fifth in the table after finishing ninth in her first campaign in charge.
