Millie Turner has recently celebrated her 100th appearance for Manchester United, marking the occasion with a post on Instagram.
She uploaded a series of posts that shows her being awarded with a commemorative framed kit with ‘Turner 100’ on the back. In the photos, she is pictured alongside her family and Manchester United teammates.
Turner is only the third footballer to have reached 100 appearances for Manchester United Women – the other two are Ella Toone and Katie Zelem. It came on February 12th, as United beat Tottenham Hotspur by a score of 2-1.
Currently, the post has just under 10,000 likes on Instagram. Several of Turner’s teammates commented on the post – one of them was Hannah Blundell, who wrote: “Proud of you 🤩❤️.”
Sophie Baggaley, Claire Emslie and Aston Villa’s Kirsty Hanson were among the other players who left Turner a message of well-wishing on her post.
Millie Turner is currently experiencing a fantastic season for Manchester United. The Red Devils are currently top of the WSL, with the fewest goals conceded in the league this season – Turner is part of the brilliant back line that has made this possible.
As well as being a great defender, Turner likes to maraud up the pitch from time to time – this season, she’s scored a solitary league goal in 13 appearances for United.
