United Star Nominated For April Player Of The Month Award

Manchester United defender Hannah Blundell is among the nominees for the Barclays Women’s Super League April Player of the Month award.

The fullback provided two assists, as well as keeping two clean sheets as United won all three matches last month against Brighton, Arsenal and Aston Villa.

Blundell provided the pass for Leah Galton’s second in the 4-0 win versus the Seagulls at the start of April, while her excellent cross led to Nikita Parris’s equaliser in the 3-2 victory over the Villans just over a week ago.

The 28-year-old will be going up against Tottenham’s Bethany England, Leicester defender Courtney Nevin, Brighton’s Elisabeth Terland, Aston Villa striker Rachel Daly and Manchester City’s Chloe Kelly for the accolade. You can nominate your favourite by heading here.

United could potentially get two awards with Marc Skinner also up for the Manager of the Month prize, along with the likes of Everton’s Brian Sorensen, Leicester’s Willie Kirk and Manchester City’s Gareth Taylor.
