Manchester United are set to sign Barcelona forward Geyse, according to journalist Michael McCann.
The broadcaster claims that “multiple sources” have told him that the Brazilian international has agreed to move to the WSL club, having already been to Old Trafford to sign a contract:
EXCLUSIVE – DEAL DONE 🚨
Geyse is joining #ManUnited from #FCBFemeni, as per my understanding from multiple sources on both sides. ✅

Geyse only made the move to Barca from Madrid CFF last year, but United have been scouring the market as they seek a replacement for Alessia Russo, and it appears they have found the player they need to reinforce a key area of the pitch.
The Brazilian has been very prolific in front of goal over the past five years. She came to prominence at Benfica where she scored an incredible 51 times in 29 games during the 2018/19 season.
After having her contract terminated, Geyse moved to Madrid CFF, where she continued to hit the back of the net on a regular basis. That then led to her switch to Barcelona.
United could now end their interest in Kerolin
Up until very recently, it was believed that the Red Devils have been locked in negotiations with North Carolina Courage about a deal for Geyse’s international teammate Kerolin.
While progress had been made in terms of the transfer fee, it was always felt that her club were reluctant to sell midway through the NWSL season. With that being the case, it appears United have opted to sign Geyse instead.
Of course, there is always the possibility that both Brazilians could be recruited by Marc Skinner’s side before the start of the new WSL campaign. The Red Devils kick off their season against Aston Villa on October 1st.
