Who Is Evie Rabjohn? Manchester United’s New Teenage Sensation

Evie Rabjohn is currently the name on the lips of WSL fans – touted as one of the promising young talents in women’s football, Manchester United look to have a real gem on their hands.

Rabjohn signed for United on April 11 – as she is under the age of 18, the Red Devils were able to acquire her services without paying Aston Villa any sort of fee. When she turns 18, however, Villa will be due an unconfirmed amount of compensation from United. Her birthday is on April 28 – we will find out how much money United owe Villa on that day.

Several audiences have criticised this loophole in the WSL’s transfer policy, including Chelsea manager Emma Hayes. Essentially, any team can poach youngsters should both parties reach an agreement, with their parent clubs having little say in the matter.

The deal is yet to be completed, as Rabjohn is currently on international duty with England’s U19 team, but it will become official upon her return.

At just 17 years of age, Rabjohn is one of the youngest players in the history of the WSL. She made her debut back in September of 2022, when she came on as a substitute for Rachel Daly in a 2-0 win over Leicester City.

She has also featured prevalently for England’s youth teams (as mentioned, she is currently part of the U19s setup). She scored her first international goal in March 2022 for England U17s in a game against France U17s.
