Everton’s superstar goalkeeper, Emily Ramsey, has given WSL fans an insight into her injury rehabilitation with a post on Instagram.

The video shows Ramsey performing several low-intensity exercises, as well as some skill-based goalkeeper drills. This will be vital to her recovery – it’s important that she keeps fit, but she will need to be careful as to not re-aggravate the injury to her ankle.

In the post’s caption, Ramsey wrote: “My morning rehab routine💪🏼.”

Currently, Ramsey’s post has just under 1,000 likes on Instagram. One of them came from Esme Morgan, who came back from a major injury this season herself.

Ramsey, who is perhaps better known by her nickname of ‘Rambo’, also received a few comments from fellow footballers on her post. They included Aggie Beever-Jones, Nicoline Sorensen and Karen Holmgaard.

Ramsey’s injury was first confirmed back in mid-February, meaning she missed out on the Lionesses’ triumphant Arnold Clark Cup campaign. However, as evidenced in the video, she’s not letting this bring her down – she seems to be fully focused on making a complete recovery as soon as possible.

At this point, it is unclear as to when Ramsey will return to WSL action. Everton fans will be hoping for a swift return to fitness – we can all see that she’s giving it 100%.
