England Star Poses With Award On Instagram After Arnold Clark Cup Victory

Lauren James and England were sensational in the Arnold Clark Cup – James was awarded the NXGN player of the tournament award and rightly so.

She posted a photo of her with the award in a post on Instagram. As well as this, the post also contains photos of her during the game, then celebrating with her teammates and the fans after the match had ended.

The Chelsea starlet scored just one goal and registered a single assist throughout the tournament, but her intelligent runs and direct style of dribbling were invaluable to England’s success as she brings so much more to the table than just goals and assists.

The 21-year-old captioned the post with: “My life recently 😍 Proud to be apart of this team! @lionesses.”

The post currently has over 45,000 likes on Instagram. It has been liked by several of James’ international compatriots, including Lucy Bronze and Alessia Russo.

Additionally, several players also left a comment on the post. They included former Manchester City midfielder Jill Scott, Chelsea legend John Terry and James’ brother Reece (who plays for The Blues’ men’s team).

England won all three of their games in the Arnold Clark Cup, beating South Korea, Italy and Belgium. In the final game, against the Belgians, England won 6-1 in a thoroughly dominant display. Currently, the Three Lionesses are looking like one of the best international teams in the world and are in a very strong position ahead of the 2023 Women’s World Cup.
