Long-Injured WSL Star Shares Encouraging Recovery News On Instagram

Pernille Harder, who has been out of action since November with a major hamstring injury, has shared a picture on her Instagram feed of her back out on the training pitch.

For Harder, who underwent surgery on her injury, is seen undertaking light training in the photo. She doesn’t appear to be doing anything too intense – no shuttle runs just yet – but it’s a very promising sign.

For the post’s caption, Harder simply wrote: “One step closer.”

Currently, Harder’s post has accumulated over 10,000 likes on Instagram. Among those who have liked the photo include a smattering of her Chelsea teammates, such as Sam Kerr, Magdalena Eriksson and Sophie Ingle.

It is unclear whether Harder will play for Chelsea again this season or not. However, her Instagram post certainly seems to be a sign that we haven’t seen the last of the Danish delight in the current campaign.

Chelsea currently sit 3rd in the table, just behind Manchester United and Manchester City – having Harder back before the end of the WSL year would a massive boost to their title chances.

Harder signed for Chelsea back in 2020, making 42 appearances and scoring 19 goals in that time. Outside of the Blues, she has also played for teams such as Wolfsburg and Linköpings FC.
