Trailblazing WSL Superstar Posts Photo Of Adorable Newborn Baby On Instagram

Toni Duggan, who plays for Everton in the WSL, has recently posted a photo on Instagram of her beautiful newborn baby daughter (named Luella).

Back in November, Duggan became the first player in the history of the WSL to take maternity leave – five months later, the former Manchester City all-star has now given birth to an adorable baby girl.

For the post’s caption, Duggan wrote: “The night our lives changed forever…. Welcome to the world our gorgeous girl Luella, Born 25th March, weighing 6lbs 12oz – you’re a little dream my baby girl.. best feeling in the world.”

Currently, Duggan’s post has accumulated an unknown amount of likes on Instagram, as the Everton star has disabled the likes counter. Among those who’ve liked the piece include Millie Bright, Georgia Stanway and Kieran Trippier.

A few of Duggan’s peers, teammates and international compatriots also left congratulatory messages in the comments section. They included Kiera Walsh, Beth Mead and Ella Toone.

Duggan won’t play again this season – however, she will be ready to return to senior team football in the following campaign. She is currently enjoying her second stint at Everton, having initially played for the Toffees from 2007 to 2013.

However, the Liverpool lass arguably enjoyed her best years away from Merseyside – namely, at Manchester City and Barcelona. Between both clubs, Duggan scored a total of 39 league goals.
