WSL Weekend Preview

WSL Weekend Preview

The WSL season is reaching its end – we have a weekend jam-packed with exciting matches in store for you, including a clash between Manchester City and West Ham United.

City are currently 4th in the WSL table, six points behind the top spot – a win over the Hammers could give their season a late shot in the arm. With that being said, West Ham will not make it easy for them. The Irons have little to play for at this stage of the season, but a victory over the Sky Blues could ensure that they do not get relegated this year.

Liverpool are set to take on a relegation-threatened Brighton outfit, who picked up a 3-2 win over the Reds’ Merseyside neighbours during midweek. The Reds drew 0-0 with West Ham in their last game – let’s hope for a more entertaining encounter on Sunday afternoon.

Tottenham Hotspur take on a tough Aston Villa outfit at the weekend – Spurs have had a rough campaign, after a decent start. Villa, meanwhile, have been dark horses throughout the season – the North London club will need to be on top of their game to avoid defeat in this one.

Finally, Reading will be gearing up for a home encounter against Everton. The Blues will be looking to shake off their embarrassing defeat on Wednesday afternoon – can they do so with a victory over the Royals?
